Today players and coaches from Celtic Barbarians RFC based in South Wales embark on an amazing tour to Japan for the Rugby World Cup. A chance encounter with Regional Specialist, Sean Bishop from inspiresport 3 years ago set them on the path to organising this amazing tour. And what a tour! Here’s a glimpse of their itinerary for the next few weeks…
Day 1/2 | Travel to Japan
Day 3 | Tokyo site seeing, watch Quarter Final 1&2 at Fan Zone
Day 4 | Compete in the ICU Cup Tournament or watch South Africa vs Japan Live
Day 5 | Tokyo Skytree Tower or Senso-ji Temple
Day 6 | Mount Fuji visit, charity hike
Day 7 | Go Karting
Day 8/9 | Travel back to UK
As part of their tour they’re taking on Mount Fuji in a charity hike in aid of St David’s Hospice Care, they’ve raised a whopping £8,000 so far for this great charity – good luck to all involved!
