Inspiresport Announce New Partnership with England Lacrosse
In October 2025, Sir Henry Floyd Grammar School’s boys’ football squad travelled to Spain for an unforgettable Football Development Tour to Valencia, delivered in partnership with inspiresport.
Across five action-packed days, players experienced elite-level coaching, competitive fixtures, and cultural highlights — all while proudly representing their school abroad and developing both on and off the pitch.
World-Class Coaching with Valencia CF
Player development was at the heart of the tour, with the squad taking part in four professional training sessions delivered by coaches from Valencia CF at the club’s official training facilities. Valencia CF is recognised as one of the best academies in world football, with players such as Isco, David Silva, Ferran Torres, and Jordi Alba all graduating from the academy.
The sessions challenged players technically and tactically, offering a rare insight into professional European training methods, including a dedicated goalkeeper session. To mark their achievements, players were presented with official certificates by Valencia CF coaches, providing a lasting reminder of a truly elite footballing experience.
Competitive Match Experience Against Local Teams
The tour also gave players the opportunity to test themselves in competitive fixtures against Spanish opposition:
- An evening fixture at Valencia CF’s training complex, delivering a memorable professional matchday experience
- A competitive away fixture against Vall de Alcalans, allowing the squad to experience football in a different cultural and tactical environment
These matches enabled players to apply what they had learned in training while developing confidence, teamwork, and resilience in a new and exciting environment.
Behind the Scenes at Mestalla Stadium
One of the standout highlights of the tour was a visit to Mestalla Stadium, one of Europe’s most iconic football venues. The group enjoyed the “Mestalla Forever” behind-the-scenes stadium tour, exploring areas usually reserved for players and staff, before visiting the official Valencia CF club shop.
