Live the life of a top flight rugby player at Leicester Tigers – groups travelling with inspiresport will train at official club facilities or satellite training venues in Leicester, receiving expert coaching from official club coaches. We will also organise competitive fixtures, allowing you to test your skills against suitable opposition.

Other highlights of a tour to Leicester include tickets to see a fixture, a tour of the Welford Road Stadium, and the opportunity to watch the first and academy teams train (subject to schedule).

Training Facilities

Club Training Facilities

Oval Park is the venue for Tigers training ground, boasting 3 pitches (2 standard and 1 fibre grass Meso style pitch). There are 4 changing rooms which can accommodate up to 100 players in 4 groups on match day programmes. Travelling groups will have access to the main Tigers Gym complex for tours on match days. Leicester Tigers also utilise Wyggeston QE I College about ½ mile from the Welford Road stadium. This excellent facility has 4 changing room and 1 main pitch with other areas for training space.

In 2002, Tigers were rewarded for their pioneering work with RFU Academy status. The Leicester Tigers England Rugby Academy aims to produce players for both Tigers and England. The Academy recently has produced British & Irish Lions caps in Tom Croft, Harry Ellis and Lewis Moody.

Location

Oval Park Training ground is located in the town of Oadby, just south of Leicester. Leicester is ideally located and accessible by coach for schools and clubs across the country.

Welford Road Stadium is the home of Leicester Tigers.
