Toulon or RC Toulon is is the latest addition to our rugby development tour experiences in France, and it doesn’t get much better than travelling to the home of the European champions. Champions for the last three years, they have a star studded team. We are now able to offer high quality coaching from official Toulon coaches, a chance to meet the players during the season, and a tour of their home stadium Stade Mayol. Another highlight, depending on the fixture schedule, will be watching Toulon in the Top 14 at The Stade Mayol.
``Thankyou to inspiresport for making Pembroke Under 10s first tour such a memorable experience!``
Pembroke RFC U10s
``A thoroughly enjoyable experience for both students and staff. It was great for the students to see what they can aspire to and how professional clubs are run behind the scenes. We will definitely be back!``

Club Background
Toulon plays in the Top 14 French professional rugby competition and is based in Toulon in Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur. The club colours are red and black. Established in 1908, Toulon currently play their home games at the Stade Mayol, although they have in the past taken high-profile matches to the 60,000-seat Stade VÃlodrome in Marseille, playing one match there in 200809 and two in both 200910 and 201011.
They are one of the best rugby clubs not only in France, but the world, and have started to dominate the sport over the past few years. The man behind the success, Bernard Laporte, joined the club as manager in 2011 and has helped the French club reach new heights with some star players and experienced coaching staff.
In 2015, they recorded an historic 3rd European Cup win in a row with a 24-18 win over Clermont at Twickenham. Notable players include Jonny Wilkinson, Gavin Henson, Victor Matfield, Sonny Bill Williams, Andrew Mehrtens, Bryan Habana, Delon Armitage, Matt Giteau, Drew Mitchell, Bakkies Botha, and Frederic Michalak.
The climate in Toulon is excellent and has the highest number of sunshine days in France, primarily because of the mountains to the north of the city.
