Sport Lisboa e Benfica commonly known as Benfica, is a Portuguese sports club based in Lisbon, Portugal. Founded in 1904, SL Benfica is one of the ‘Big Three’ football clubs in Portugal. The team plays its home matches in the Estádio da Luz with a capacity of 65,647. Unlike many other European football clubs, Benfica sócios (paying supporters) have owned and operated the club since its creation.
The Benfica Campus is mainly used by the senior squad and the youth teams. It is comprised of six pitches, two of them of synthetic turf. One of the pitches has a covered stand with a capacity of 1600 people. This complex also includes two gyms, dressing rooms, swimming pools, hot tubs, sauna, a cafeteria and an auditorium with a capacity of 75 people.
As of 25/26 season, Benfica has won 38 Primeira Liga titles, 26 Taça de Portugal trophies, 8 Taça da Liga, 10 Supertaça Cândido de Oliveira, 2 European Cups.
